Marist Brothers High School is hoping to restore lost glory in the Fiji Secondary School Rugby League 2017 competition which started yesterday.

Team manager Josaia Waiwalu said they were determined to prove themselves with the return of Queen Victoria School to the competition.

“We prepared for one week and it’s good that we managed to form a team,” he said.

“Our preparation has been good because we’ve been using our mini-meet as part of our training. “It’s quiet a hectic week for us but we’re positive and that is important for us. “QVS is a very strong side and it’s about enjoying ourselves and keeping to the basics and we will give them a run for their money.

“Some of these boys are members of our Under-18 squad for this year’s Deans competition and we are using this to lift their performance not only in league but rugby to,” Waiwalu said.
