Sunbeam Buses Limited have suffered some damages costing around $2500.

One of their Lautoka-Suva Express Buses was stoned by an unknown individual.

There were over 40 passengers on-board.

Bus driver Manoj Kumar, 42, said: “I was really scared for my passengers because they are my first priority.”

He said he did not see anyone on the road when he stopped the bus.

“Thank God no one was injured,” he said.

Mr Kumar said there seems to be less respect for public transport these days.

The incident occurred last Friday night at around 8.30pm near Lepanoni Village in Pacific Harbour.

“This is not a good thing, we are trying to serve the public and this is what we get in return. If someone is hurt then it is going to be a big problem,” Mr Kumar said.
