This is my pre- Valentine’s day and birthday present.

These were the words of the lucky winner,of the 2016 Nissan Navara worth $94,000, Chandar Kant in the Text & Win Promotion in partnership with MH and Vodafone.

Mr Kant, who is originally from Maqere, Tavua, sells fish in the Ba Market and earns from the sell for his daily survival.

He said his wife would be happy to join him for a ride this Valentine’s day in their new vehicle.

“I will take my wife, Roshni Lata for a ride on Tuesday and I know this will make her happy,” Mr Kant said.

“This is not all, I will be celebrating my birthday next month and this is a pre-birthday gift for me.”

He also said: “Recently, we have had flooding in our area and this vehicle can also be used to transport my groceries and belongings.

“I can also take my mum and dad who are currently staying with to the hospital if they get sick.”

He thanked MH and Vodafone for organising such a promotion.

“I thank the two companies for the win because had they not organised, I would be a winner today,” he said.

“I am extremely happy for this win and I know for sure that this vehicle will be of a great help to me and my family.”

Mr Kant also added that he had spent close to $15 on texting.

“I usually took part to test my luck, and I think God has awarded me for the continuous trying.”

The winner was handed over the keys to the brand new 2016 Nissan Navara at MHCC Ground Floor Foyer In Suva yesterday.
