BSP Life 2017 Summer Cup competition teed off at the Fiji Golf Club in Vatuwaqa on Saturday.
Club captain Vidhya Lakhan was pleased with the turnout.
“A record 97 golfers took part in a shotgun start in pleasant conditions though it was a bit soft underfoot,” he said.
“BSP Life Mike Nacola launched the opening round of the five- week competition.
“I’m pleased with the good turnout and wished them all the best in the remaining four rounds.”
The second round will be played on Saturday.
