New Rep Tulele Joins 7s Camp

First Light Taveuni playmaker Lemeki Tulele marched into camp with the Vodafone Fijian 7s squad at the Uprising Beach Resort in Pacific Harbour, Deuba yesterday.
Tulele who was awarded the Campese-Serevi medal during the Mana Whey Coral Coast 7s last month told SUNsports that it was his first time to camp with the national 7s training squad.
“I’m looking forward to playing with some of the well- known players,” said the 28-year-old.
Fijian 7s captain Osea Kolinisau said they have a lot to work on after the four tournaments they have played in during the 2016/17 Series.
“We are hoping to improve on our performance. It’s all about learning and we are going to learn from our mistakes. We sat down as a team and talked about what we could have done.”
Nippy halfback Seremaia Tuwai didn’t go to camp because of a family commitment but will join them later in the week.
Also making the team is 24-year-old, Josua Kuruinabili who hails from Vatukarasa and is part of the Wardens team.
Army playmaker Josua Vici is happy to be part of squad again.
“Last year Las Vegas was where I made my debut and I’m looking forward to make the cut and it will be a great tournament and also to have some new boys is a big boost and I’m looking forward to it,” Vici added.
