The hunt for the 10 contestants vying for Miss World Fiji 2017 will begin in March around the four main centres in Fiji.

This was confirmed by the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation (FBC) TV producer and presenter, Andhy Blake during the Miss World Fiji 2017 launch in Suva on Monday.

He said the casting will begin in March and the contest will start from June 5 to 10.

“It’s not always about the looks or having the best body it’s about thinking with a lot of positivity and having that confidence because looking at contestants from South America like Brazil, they come to the competition like they have already won the pageant.”

FBC chief executive officer, Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said: “It does not have to be a candidate from Suva but it could be anyone from anywhere around the country.”

The Grand Pacific Hotel is the official host partner and Fiji Airways is the official airline partner for Miss World Fiji.

Casting for the Miss World Fiji will begin in March on the following dates and centres and will be held between 12pm to 2pm.
