Warriors Prepare For PRC Defence

The Telecom Fijian Warriors are ready to battle Tonga in the opening cash of the Pacific Rugby Challenge Cup which is from March 10-18.
Warriors coach Senirusi Seruvakula told SUNsports that they would announce their final 28-member squad next Friday.
“It wouldn’t be an easy selection and what we are doing is looking into their skills by using video to capture our training and we will review it later on,” he said.
“We will have four sessions before we break off from camp and one week for their daily training and we will announce the team. We will get the final squad into camp on February 28 and on March 6 we will meet at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva, where we will camp and prepare for our first game against Tonga on that Friday.
“We have to be ready because competition is getting tougher every year and we are the defending champions, so to select these players they have to be the best of the best, as we want to defend our title and have a good start to the year,” Seruvakula said.
He was also happy with the players’ fitness as they have worked hard in trying to get into the squad. “We are least worried about the fitness as they are really training every day. We have been monitoring their training but we are concentrating on our passing, defence and attack.
“We have new players especially the guys who are part of the FRU Academy so it’s a good blend of players,” he said.
