Our role as prefects will only be successful through teamwork says Suhani Singh, the headgirl of Natabua Primary School in Lautoka.

With that in mind, she stressed that discipline would be the focus of her leadership so that she and other newly-inducted prefects could achieve their goals, which was also to pass their exams with flying colours.

“I would like to thank the school management for choosing us and having faith in us to take up this important role,” Suhani said.

Suhani was badged alongside headboy, Malakai Tuivomo.

Malakai said he was confident about his leadership qualities and was determined to work hard throughout the year to ensure that the rules of the school were maintained.

He added that together they hoped that all would follow the school rules and maintain an atmosphere of friendly co-operation, peace, discipline and unity in the school.

Both Year 8 students have sought the support of the school, students and teachers throughout the year to help them successfully lead the Student Council.
