The Ministry of Youth and Sport concluded its mid-term review and annual corporate plan workshop that would facilitate the development of its four-year strategic development plan.

The workshop guides the operational targets set out in the Annual Corporate Plan of each corresponding financial year.

It helps set a up platform and take stock of the progress of the first six months of implementation and identify gaps.

Participants were made up of divisional officers from the Northern, Western, Eastern and Central Divisions, from areas in sports, from administrative and accounts departments, and from the Research and Development Unit of the Ministry of Youth and Sport.

The Research and Development Unit organised the workshop, which was facilitated by Joseph Veramu.

The outcome of the mid-term review provides the basis to strengthen the rate of implementation for the remainder of the financial year.

“You must challenge yourself every day, to see what contribution you can make to improving our service delivery,” Minister for Youth and Sport, Laisenia Tuitubou told the workshop participants.

Mr Tuitubou thanked the workshop participants attending and sharing their experiences.

“As civil servants you’re all required to change continuously, to shift and adapt and to be in line with what your leaders envision for the Ministry and the country,” he said.

The workshop was held over two days began on Tuesday.

It was held at the Fiji National University Nasese Campus in Suva.
