Alivio Baleikasavu will work hard to be a good leader and an example to his peers at Koro High School.

The Tavua native of Koro hopes to become a geologist in the future.

“I was the deputy headboy last year and then this year I was badged as the headboy.

“I am very honoured and I thank my parents and teachers for their support.

“I feel honoured to be given the leadership role of leading this school and I will perform to the best of my ability,” the 18-year-old said.

The eldest of six siblings attended Nabasovi District School from Year One to Year Eight then to Koro High School.

The Year 13 arts student was the second highest scorer in the Fiji School Leaving Certificate in Koro High School scoring 305 out of 400 last year.

He hopes to get a scholarship to study at the University of the South Pacific next year.

The school has 28 prefects which includes the headboy and headgirl and their deputies.
