The Telecom Fijiana squad aims to improve on their defence in the third leg of the Women Sevens Series in Las Vegas on March 3-5.

The Iliesa Tanivula-coached side finished  fifth in Sydney and is grouped in Pool B alongside USA, Ireland and Spain Las Vegas.

“Our defence was weak in Sydney and that has been the focus in training,” Roqica said.

“We lost to Ireland in Sydney and USA finished as the No.2 team so we should be expecting a tough battle in Las Vegas.  It will not be an easy as all teams enter the competition with one goal and that is to win.

“The girls are giving their 100 per cent focus in training.”

Meanwhile, Telecom Fiji chief executive officer Mothilal De Silva said they were proud to be associated with the team.

“We are happy to be associated with Fijiana as they have made TFL and Fiji proud,”De Silva said.

“We all know how important rugby is to Fiji, it brings community together and also it’s a brilliant way to capture the power of unity.

“We stood by our commitment, we placed a lot of confidence, faith on Telecom Fijiana team.”
