Be Humble and Serve Others, Prefects Told
Be humble and serve others, was the message passed on to student prefects of Gram Sangathan School of Buiduna in Nausori yesterday.
The school held its prefects induction officiated by the senior education officer, Nausori, Mustafa Khan, who inducted 35 prefects.
Mr Khan advised the prefects to have a heart of a servant in order to carry out their leadership roles successfully.
He also told the prefects to be ‘dedicated, compassionate and selfless’ individuals in order to function as a leader.
Headboy, Damiano Mata who was brought up by his grandparents aspires to be a doctor one day.
His father passed away when he was just four.
Parents turned up in numbers to witness the auspicious occasion.
Scool head teacher, Shareen Chand, thanked the prefects and their parents for being supportive towards the school.
