Former Veiuto Primary School and Chow Games champion Marica Korovulavula won the sub junior 100 and 200 metres for Uci during Adi Cakobau School inter-house at the ANZ Stadium yesterday.

And the 13-year-old aims to win both events in the Coca-Cola Games in April.

“It wasn’t easy for me and to join Adi Cakobau, it was a dream come true,”she said.

“Joining a school like ACS will boost my academic and athletics’ performance.

“I will be looking forward to competing with other students we competed with during the Chow Games. I know they will be ready so I have to prepare myself physically and mentally.”

The Mataso, Kadavu native is looking forward to making her debut for Sawani at the Coke Games.
