Vakaloloma Sets Target

Jessie Vakaloloma aims to better her performance after winning the 200 metres junior final during the Adi Cakobau School inter-house athletics competition at the ANZ Stadium yesterday.

The former Veiuto Primary School student applauded Ana Kaitoga for giving her a good run.

“It has been a good day and a great competition and I thank Kaitoga for that awesome run in the final lap,”Vakaloloma said.

“I think we both improved I would like to thank the Almighty God for giving me the strength and perseverance to keep striving for the best.

“My aim is to break the record for the 100metres and win a gold medal at the Coke Games in April.

“Preparation has been tough because you train in the morning and in the afternoon but you have to endure to succeed.”

The 16-year old Natokalau, Matuku native is looking forward to seeing ACS win the girls division in the Coke Games this year.
