Judges won the 2017 Assemblies of God High School inter-house athletics competition at the ANZ Stadium yesterday.

The Judges House collected 25 gold medals, 18 silver medals and 21 bronze. Apostles House came second (21, 19,  9), Prophets House third (20, 22, 12) and Kings House settled for fourth (20, 21, 22).

Judges were declared the overall winners in the boys division while Kings dominated the girls category.

Physical Education, Music, Arts and Culture (PEMAC) head of department Abhay Chand is hopeful for the school to win at least five medals in the track events during the Coca- Cola Games in April.

“We are banking on two boys in the senior grade, one in the intermediate and two girls also in the intermediate grade to win medals for the school,” he said.

Chand also said despite the wet weather, preparations for Coke Games were on track.

He was appreciative to the staff and students for their endless support in making the inter-house competition a success.

“I thank all the teachers and the participants though despite having bad weather, the programme went out smoothly and everything happened on time,’’ Chand said.
