Rewa Football received a sponsorship of $75,000 from Pacific Direct Line yesterday for the 2017 OFC Champions League in Tahiti on March 11-17.

Rewa Football president Nazeel Buksh was thankful for the support shown by PDL as this would cater for the accommodation and meal expenses during the team’s 10 days stay in Tahiti.

“This sponsorship basically takes care of our stay in Tahiti,” Buksh said.

“It’s a big relief for us in terms of our preparation that has been going on for the past three months.

“The first part is our preparation here at home which is been taken care of by Vodafone and second part in New Zealand and it is been taken care of by our fans.

“The third part which is the main one in Tahiti is now sponsored by PDL.”

The team will depart on Tuesday for Auckland, New Zealand wherethey will play three warm up matches before leaving for Tahiti on March 9.

The Marika Rodu coached side will take on Auckland City in their first warm up match on March 1, Western United FC from Solomon on March 4 and Waitakere United on March 8.
