Police find new leads on resort robbery

Police have found a few leads into the identity of the three masked men who robbed Club Fiji Resort in Wailoaloa Nadi on Friday morning.
Police spokesperson Jokatama Qio said Criminal Investigation Department officers had a few leads and the investigators were working tirelessly to arrest the suspects.
“Our investigations continue and the CID personnel are working around the clock following a few leads,” Mr Qio said.
Armed with knives and pinch bars, the masked men had allegedly broken into the resort building by cutting the padlocks and fled the scene with a safe containing cash.
They also took bottles of imported liquor.
The incident which allegedly happened at around 3am was caught on CCTV.
The thieves also allegedly robbed a female house guest and fled in her vehicle.
