The Rukua team from Beqa is looking forward to making their debut at the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament in Suva next month,
Coach Manasa Radrotini said as a newly formed team, he was happy with their performance during the Island Chill Serua 7s at Thomson Park, Navua yesterday.
“Some of the players are playing in their first tournament and we’re focusing on their fitness, combination as we prepare for the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s,”Radrotini said.
“It’s going to be a big experience for the boys as they will face some of the top teams like Army, Ratu Filise, Tabadamu and Police.”
The team was the runner-up in the Bowl competition yesterday.
