New $1.3m Footpaths For Cunningham Road

Residents of Cunningham Road in Nasinu, Suva will benefit from the new footpaths valued at over $1 million being constructed.
Fiji Roads Authority chief executive officer John Hutchinson said the project is a part of FRA Renewals project.
“The Rehoboth Infrastructure Limited have been awarded the contract for the footpath with the sum of $1.3 million,” Mr Hutchinson said.
“The road currently lacks on footpath and with the new footpaths being constructed, it will increase safety for the residents and reduce car and pedestrian accidents.
“The scope of works includes new footpaths, associated kerbs and channel drainage, signage and pedestrian hand rails.
“Safety is paramount and the general public is strongly advised to stay alert and clear from the construction site.”
“Weather is nature’s call and we cannot help if it heavily rains, so we advise people to be patient while we work on the project,” Mr Hutchinson said.
