Two more vessels were launched for Mamanuca Express yesterday.

They boosted the water taxi service in the tourism sector.

The operation is owned by Classic Buses Limited.

After its success in the land transportation industry it established Mamanuca Express 28 years ago to cater for the growing demand in sea transportation for the resorts in the Mamanucas.

Director Adnan Mohammed, who launched the vessels, said: “We are trying to bring in new boats to support the boat industry and to support the tourism industry as a whole.”

The two new boats bring to eight the number in the fleet.

“We hope to grow Mamanuca Express to be the leading water taxi provider,” he added.
