Visit Inspires Reps

The Vodafone Fijian 7s team were greeted Vegas style at the Paradise Elementary School yesterday.
The Gareth Baber coached side took a day off from training and visited the school which was a great moment for the students to actually meet their favourite team during their ‘Adopt a Country’ programme.
Winger and father of one Samisoni Viriviri was inspired, overwhelmed and enjoyed the programme.
“The children were excited, they were screaming and we really enjoyed the day with them.
“They were happy to receive us,” Viriviri said.
He said the visit has motivated them to defend the USA 7s in Las Vegas this weekend.
“The children has definitely boost our morale as we aim to defend our title.”
The Dratabu, Nadi native also commended the scrimmaging session against Kenya on Tuesday.
“It was a good session and we are looking forward to the weekend.
Kolinisau was thrilled to be able to visit the school and answer all the questions the children had.
“It’s great to be here and having fun with the children. We really love doing this sort of thing. It’s so important for us that wherever we go in the world, we get to mix with local people and spread our love for rugby.
The Fijian community in Las Vegas also took time out yesterday to visit the team.
Community rep Poasa Veilawa said, “We first visited the Fijiana team and the men. We will present them some clothes.
Fiji plays Japan at 12:09pm on Saturday, Scotland at 3:08pm and Australia on Sunday at 9:50am.
