The Vodafone Fijian 7s team opened their USA 7s title defence campaign with a 41-0 win over Japan at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas.
The Osea Kolinisau led- side opened their account with a try to Kalione Nasoko, which was converted by Kolinisau.
The Vodafone Fijians dominated play with Mesulame Kunavula and Vatemo Ravouvou running in tries for a handy 19-0 lead at halftime.
They now take on Scotland in their next pool game at 3.08pm.
