The application for a rebuttal witness made by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) in the case of suspended Opposition Parliamentarian, Isoa Tikoca, has been refused by Magistrate Makereta Mua.
The matter was yesterday called before the Suva Magistrates Court.
Both the prosecution and the defence had filed their submissions and after an analysis of the argument, the application made by FICAC was refused.
FICAC charged Tikoca for allegedly failing to declare his liabilities before the 2014 general elections.
The matter has been adjourned to March 31 for both parties’ closing submissions.
