Fiji beat Scotland 24-12
The magic of Vodafone Fijian 7s halfback Jerry Tuwai came at the right time as they ran in their fourth try for a 24-12 win over Scotland at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas.
Holding a slender 17-12 lead, the Scots were beginning to dominate midway the second spell when Tuwai struck.
Vodafone Fijian 7s head coach Gareth Baber instructed the players during halftime to maintain their defence and not to allow Scotland room to run.
The Fijians scored the first try 35 seconds into the game through winger Joeli Lutumailagi for a 5-0 lead. This was later followed by tries to Vatemo Ravouvou and Mesulame Kunavula.
The only setback for the Fijians was the yellow cards dished out at Kalione Nasoko and Lutumailagi for dangerous tackles
