‘Inside Out’ Band To Launch New Album Soon

Creating original songs and coming out with an album was always the ultimate goal for popular local band, Inside Out.
With the release of their new Extended Play (EP) titled “Let Music Play” later this month, the album brings a fresh new sound to Fiji and the Pacific market.
Band manager, Damien Whippy, claimed everything was recorded live and that was something that had not been done in a while in Fiji.
“The title itself is self-explanatory. We started off as three average, self-taught musicians with no qualification in music,” he said.
Mr Whippy said the band was driven by true passion.
They wanted their music to speak for itself and to appeal to their fan base, family and followers.
“The album consists of seven songs all written by our band leader, Apakuki and it is a fusion of reggae and rock.”
The band had started live recordings in September last year and finished off their final session in January.
The launch is scheduled for March 24.
The band will host a party at O’Reilly’s Bar in Suva on the day with family and friends.
“We thank the Almighty for blessing us with such wonderful talents and the never ending support from our families,” said Mr Whippy.
He said the EP was a collection of hard work and sacrifice over the three years of their band’s existence.
The band is made up of four members, Apakuki Nalawa (lead vocals/guitar), Timothy Solomon (bass), Semesa Vilise (cajon/backing vocals), and Viliame Dautei (drums/ and backing vocals).
