Leaders Should Lead By Example: Headboy

Leaders should be able to lead and inspire students in their school with good behaviour, says Bulileka Sanatan College’s newly-inducted headboy, Navitesh Prasad.
The 17-year-old of Dreketilailai in Labasa said he was honoured and delighted to lead the prestigious school.
“I am thankful to God for this achievement,” Navitesh said.
“I will balance my school work and given responsibilities.”
The aspiring accountant and an athlete aims to participate in the Coca-Cola Games this year.
“I believe a leader should lead by example, and this is one of those reasons I am getting involved in school activities, so that I can encourage other students to do so,” the youngest of four siblings said.
“I thank the Ministry of Education for allowing schools to have a variety of programmes so that students can develop their talent.”
Meanwhile, Pritika Devi, the newly-inducted headgirl who also aspires to become an accountant said: “I was surprised to be inducted as the headgirl of the school because of my different family background.
“This role would be challenging since lot of responsibilities are bestowed on me.”
There are 38 prefects to oversee a school roll of 230 students from Years 9 to 13.
