The Uluinikau 7s tournament kick-started with 24 teams competing at the Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori, yesterday.

Uluinikau Rugby president Epi Kolinivala was happy with the first day performance from the teams.

“We started well in the morning with the good condition and we have good teams like Army Green, First Light Taveuni, Tabadamu, Police and Uluinikau Baabaas to name a few,”Kolinivala said.

“I’m positive this will be a good tournament and an exciting finish on Saturday.”

Uluinakau Baabaas 26 – 0 Naivakacau, Army Green 26–0 Broken Glass, Tabadamu 10-7 Niubuto, First Light Taveuni 24–0 Namarai Winston, New-born Basaga 5–5 Nausori, Police Blue 17- 7 Nasoqo, First Light Taveuni  Two 0–12 Mataso Inspire, Marist 24 – 17 Biliwai Evergreen, Army Red 24 – 0 Nakaiolo, Silver Water 10 – 12 Buca Bay Babas, Waimanu 10 – 0 Waimaro, Police White 29–0 Green Hills.
