QVS Students Questioned For Alleged Assault
Minister for Education Mahendra Reddy

Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts, Mahendra Reddy said they were counselling all students from Year Nine to 13 at the Queen Victoria School.

This came to light after another assault case which resulted in four students taken in for questioning by Police for allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old student.

It is alleged that the incident took place at the dormitory on March 5 whereby the Year Nine student was assaulted for reasons yet to be established as investigations continue.

The four students alleged involved were questioned on Thursday.

Mr Reddy said the students would be removed from school.

“The students do not deserve to be there,” Mr Reddy said.

“We are counselling all the students to refrain from these kinds of behaviour; if they want to continue their academic education at QVS.”
