Ba Settlement Residents Get Good News

The construction of residential lots in Clopcott, Ba, to accommodate 157 families is expected to start soon.
Clopcott Squatter Settlement chairperson, Mukesh Chand, said that land survey had been completed.
Mr Chand said the process took five years and the outcome had been positive.
Minister for Local Government, Housing and Environment, Infrastructure and Transport Parveen Bala attended a series of meetings with the residents.
“The Ba Town Council carried out the land survey and it has been completed.
“Now the next step is to register the survey with the iTaukei Lands Trust Board,” he said.
The Fiji Roads Authority, Mr Bala said, would carry out major roads works in the area which were announced in the 2016-2017 Budget.
