The Fiji Bitter Marist 7s organisers held a thanksgiving mass at the Holy Eucharist Laucala Bay Parish in Suva on Thursday.
Marist Rugby Club president Lawrence Tikaram said the mass was to acknowledge everybody who have been involved with tournament incepted 41 years ago and to adhere to the values of the Catholic faith.
“The mass was held to acknowledge the Marist brothers and uphold the values, principles and teaching of the Catholic faith.
“The mass was for all the players and the officials and volunteers for the 2017 tournament,” Tikaram said.
The 41st tournament will be held on March 24-25 at the ANZ Stadium, Suva with 80 teams participating.
