Katonibau, Tuwai Back

In a surprise move veteran forwards Isake Katonibau and Pio Tuwai joined the Vodafone Fijian 7s extended squad for a training session at the Vodafone Arena, Suva, yesterday.

Katonibau and Tuwai were not named in the extended 7s squad for the national 7s team for Hong Kong and Singapore.

However, Tuwai arrived with the Western based-players while Katonibau made his way to the Vodafone Arena to join the squad.

The media were not allowed to take interviews but however, were allowed to take photos of the team.

Also joining the team were forward Jasa Veremalua, Joeli Lutumailagi and playmaker Amenoni Nasilasila.

Lutumailagi missed the Vancouver tournament due to a knee injury. Nasilasila suffered a leg injury during the Wellington 7s and had to miss the Sydney, Las Vegas and Vancouver tournaments.

The Hong Kong 7s are on April 7-9 where the Vodafone Fijians are pooled with New Zealand, Wales and Japan.
