Northern Air-sponsored Nadogo Central College scooped the Macuata Zone One athletics competition for two years in a row at All Saints Secondary School ground in Labasa yesterday.

The school bagged 33 gold, 18 silver, 10 bronze medals, All Saints Secondary came second (16, 18, 17) and Duavata Secondary third  (14, 16, 1).

Nadogo Central College principal Mohammed Khan was happy with the performance.

“We thank the Almighty for the win, the supporters and parents,” Khan said.

“The 91 athletes worked very hard to defend the title again and I’m very happy because the academic performance is also good.

“I would like to thank our sponsor, Northern Air for providing us with the uniform and other things,” Khan said.

“Next week we will organise a celebration and prepare for the Coke Games next month.”
