Baber learns more

William Ryder believes the Vodafone Fijian 7s team will need him in the World Sevens Series.

The former national sevens rep made the comment at the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament yesterday.

The Wainunu, Bua native said; “ I need to get back there.”

Ryder played for the Silver Waters and assisted the side to book their berth in the second main elimination today with First Landing after defeating Deuba Rugby 10-5 in the first elimination.

Ryder said he has prepared well for the tournament and also aim for a spot in the national team.

“I’m trying to get back to the Fiji team if they give me a chance , I’m willing to represent Fiji again,” Ryder said.

“I was grateful to see the abundance of talents  and I’m happy to team up with Silver Water. This is a very young team, I’m here to guide them, it’s better for older players like me to come down to this level and help  young players.” Edited by Leone Cabenatabua
