Ana Waikini of Nadogo Central College aims to win gold at the Coca-Cola Games on April 20-22 at ANZ Stadium.
This was after the Year Nine student won the 3000 metres and 1500m in the Open girls division during the Macuata Zone One at All Saints Secondary School ground in Labasa yesterday.
“I am so happy after winning two events,” Waikini said.
“I’ve trained for four weeks and the win wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my parents who are working tirelessly in their yaqona farm at Dogotuki.
“My parents are my inspiration.
“I aim to represent Fiji in athletics but my ultimate goal is to become a teacher. Edited by Osea Bola
