Fiji Revenue and Customs Service board chairperson Ajith Kodagoda and Amalgamated Telecom Holdings Group (ATH) chairman, Ajith Kodagoda.
There is no relationship between Vodafone Fiji and Papua New Guinea’s Bmobile, Vodafone Fiji chairman Ajith Kodagoda said yesterday.
The National newspaper (see left) claimed that a PNG-Fiji joint venture, Bmobile-Vodafone, is competing against Irish giant Digicel for Papua New Guinea’s lucrative mobile phone market.
However, Mr Kodagoda said they had talks to buy Bmobile in the past, but this did not eventuate as the transaction was cancelled.
He said Bmobile paid fees to use Vodafone as a marketing brand.
