Experience matters!

But that could be an understatement because former national 7s reps playing for the Tabadamu rugby 7s team at the 41st Fiji Bitter Marist 7s proved that experience counts.

The former reps include Nasoni Roko, Setefano Cakau, Leo Naikasau and Sitiveni Waqa.

The Tabadamu team completed a hat-trick yesterday after beating Army Green 24-14 to claim the title. They become the first team in the tournament to win three times in a row.

Meanwhile, the Striders 7s team won the women’s title beating Marist Seahawks Two 24-0.

Vodafone Fijian 7s coach Gareth Baber presented the winning cheque and trophy to the winners.

He has yet to name his squad for the Hong Kong and Singapore 7s tournaments for the next leg of the World Sevens Series.
