Suva Records 35 Hopefuls

The auditions at the Tappoo City in Suva on Saturday recorded more hopefuls to make the final cut of 10 for the finals for Miss World Fiji.
“Overall after our third audition in Suva, we had 35 contestants,” said Miss World Fiji director Andhy Blake.
“We have seen more contestants coming for the Miss World Fiji auditions this year compared it will previous years and to me that is the testament that Miss World brand is now becoming recognised in all towns and cities.”
Mr Blake said one of the contestants flew in from New Zealand to take part.
“We have also seen also turning up to the auditions are former Miss Fiji to Miss Pacific Island Pageants and seen former title holders of Miss Bula and Miss Sugar festival.
“The standard of the competition this year is very high and we have got very beautiful and intelligent young women.
“It is exciting because young women are now looking to get opportunities on an international platform,
“After our final audition we will choose ten contestants.”
The last tryouts will be held in Labasa from 12 pm to 2 pm on April 1 at the Grand Eastern Hotel.
