Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament champions Tabadamu are planning to play in several tournaments in Australia later in the year.

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday, tour organiser Makario Rokosuka said they are looking for sponsors for the trip to go ahead.

“The more sponsorship we get the better it is for the team,” he said.

“The funds collected will be directed towards the team’s airfares, accommodation, meals and transportation. We want to run things more professionally now as we want to put the team into hotels or hostels. This is to do away with the past practice where we split the team up so they could be accommodated in several homes in Sydney.”

Rokosuka said he has been communicating with senior player Setefano Cakau about the trip.

Former Vodafone Fijian 7s players of Cakau, Nasoni Roko, Leo Naikasau and livewire rover Jone Vota are members of the team.
