Man fronts Court for Robbery Charge
A 25-year-old appeared at the Suva Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with one count of aggravated robbery.
Voreqe Feke of Nausori appeared before Magistrate Waleen George.
It is alleged that on March 26, Feke robbed a 25-year-old man along Jai Hanuman Road off Nabua in Suva at 10pm.
He allegedly stole assorted items including a wallet with cash worth $100. The charge was read to the accused and he understood it, but no plea was taken.
Police prosecutor, Sergeant Yasin Ali told the court that the accused was a first offender and all the items were recovered.
Magistrate George granted bail to Feke in the sum of $500 with strict bail conditions.
The case has been transferred to the High Court in Suva and will be called on April 11.
