Organisation of Sports Federation in Oceania (OSFO) main focus this year is to increase the number of match officials, says Kevan Gosper.
The OSFO chairman made the comment during Olympic Solidarity Forum in Nadi.
This is in leading up to the 2017 Pacific Mini Games in December and the 2019 Pacific Games in Tonga.
“It was an informal meeting where we focussed on the Pacific Games and Mini Games in Vanuatu and the sports content,” Gosper said.
“We are discussing on how we can bring more qualified officials from the Pacific Islands to be judges, referees and technical officials at the games, both men and women.
“We also talked about how we can develop men and women to officiate, we have to give them more experience to officiate.”
