Big Test For Babasiga Lions

The Advance Parts sponsored Labasa football side expect a tough encounter against Ba in today’s Vodafone Premier League clash at Subrail Park, Labasa. Labasa Football Association vice- president Varun Anand said they are going to field their experienced players in this most important match.

“For Taniela Waqa although he is suffering some injuries, we are expecting him to join us,” he told SUNsports.

Waqa was injured while playing for the Vodafone national football team during their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against New Zealand. Anand said they are hoping that he would recover soon.

“As for the other players, their fitness level is on par and they have prepared well for this game against Ba. The boys have been training for the past two weeks. We’re preparing well because this match is played on our home ground.”

Labasa coach Ronil Lal is currently away while Anand has been training the team during his absence. The clash kicks-off at 2pm.
