17 artists will be presenting three pieces of work each.

Waisiliva Art Group will stage an art show at the Leleuvia Island Resort on Saturday, April 8.

This was confirmed by the group’s manager and communications personnel, Peter Sipeli.

“This will be the first exhibition out of the nine that we are planning to have for the rest of the year,” Mr Sipeli said.

“We are exhibiting 17 artists who will be presenting three pieces of work each.

“The Title of the exhibition is Lesumai which will give an opportunity to the artists to tell their stories as an artist and as indigenous people.

“Too often artists are asked to showcase their work surrounding global issues like climate change, violence and now we wanted to use this opportunity to ask artists to talk about themselves.”

Waisiliva Art Group currently has 32 artists and about 15 of them are national based artists who have represented Fiji at different Pacific Arts Festival’s and International exhibitions.
