Arts Festival To Back ‘Cure Kids Fiji’ Projects

Ten percent of the sales collected from an Arts Festival in Denarau will go towards supporting Cure Kids Fiji.

With this in mind the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa in conjunction with Victoria Wines are sponsoring the event which will be held this month.

The festival will be held at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa ball room from 11am until 6pm daily.

The exhibition is scheduled for April 28 to 30, but will officially open on April 27 from 6pm until 7pm.

Cure Kids Fiji Islands director of operations Sally Cooper said: “10 per cent of sales go towards supporting Cure Kids Fiji.

“Some of the artists have also donated art works which will be auctioned off in a silent auction, which allows people to bid for works on-line.

“Art and culture are an integral part of Fiji. Whilst our sporting stars are often awarded the lime light, artists are often left in the shadows.

“All artists and art enthusiasts are welcome to participate in this exhibition.

“It is open to emerging artists, sculptures, photographers and fine art.,as well as authentic Fijian art and craft.”

She said that the commission from works sold would be used for the oxygen systems programme with the Ministry of Health and Medical Services supported by Cure Kids Fiji.

All artists and art enthusiasts are welcome – for further inquiries please contact; sally@curekids.org.fj or call 9993 890.
