The Hindu festival of Ram Naumi concluded yesterday.

The festival is celebrated by Hindu devotees every year to marks the birth of the Lord Rama, son of the King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya, of Ayodhya kingdom.

Lord Rama was the seventh avatar from the Dashavatar of Lord Vishnu. It is said  that he was born to kill demon king Ravana who ill-treated people.

Ram Naumi celebrations is nine days of worship, prayer, fasting, devotional songs and reciting Holy Ramayana. It was one of the most important festivals of Hindu calendar.
