Top Trainers From India Help Fiji Sun Advance More

Two highly experienced editors from the world’s biggest and most competitive English-language newspaper market are helping develop Fiji Sun editors and sub-editors.
Jai Kumar Sharma and Anirban Roy have been brought in from India by the Fiji Sun to work with those who every night, put together Fiji’s biggest newspaper.
They are working with these editors and sub-editors to improve editing and design capacity.
The 10-day programme is the first of a continuing series of such training visits to the Fiji Sun by top Indian editors.
Fiji Sun Publisher/chief executive officer Peter Lomas said: “It again underscores the continuing commitment by our owners, the CJ Patel group, to training and development.
“No other media organisation in Fiji invests as much in training and development as we do.
“We send our people overseas for specialist training. We bring in top trainers to run programmes such as this.
“We have more graduates in our newsrooms around the country than the rest of the Fijian media put together.”
