Fiji has been continuously strengthened with her bilateral links with the Indonesian government over the years, through projects and other initiatives  such as the empowerment and advancement of women.

The Indonesia government and the Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation in partnership with the Ciputra Entrepreneurship Centre of Indonesia recently conducted a phase three training on Entrepreneurship Mentoring and Evaluation Workshop for the participants to share their views and a review of the Phase 1 and Phase 2 training.

The workshop will collectively provide the platform to ascertain the level of knowledge and skills obtained by the women and expand their mindset and approach towards the running of their individual businesses.

Director of Ciputra Incubator and Accelerator, Ciputra Entrepreneurship Centre, Ivan A Sandjaja, thanks the Fijian Government  for strengthening the bilateral co-operation of Fiji and Indonesia through women’s economic empowerment programmes and initiatives.

He said they wanted the Fijian women to expand their business and marketing skills.

He visited Iskaeka’e Weaving (Lokia), “Oilelei” Designs (Nakorovou), New Venture Forest (Wainadoi), Passion Fruit Farm (Deuba), Tadra Flowers (Martintar), Vee’s Organic Farm (Sabeto), Tifui Nursery  (Sabeto) and the Fiji Corrections Services.

Mr Sandjaja said this workshop and on-site training for Fiji Entrepreneurs held by the government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ciputra Entrepreneurship Center was a phase III of serial similar activities conducted in Jakarta (Indonesia) and Suva (Fiji).

The government of Indonesia is pleased to give knowledge and share the experience on entrepreneurship to Fijian business women, to empower their businesses.

He said the empowerment could contribute to the business growth in Fiji and open the opportunity for Fijian female businesswomen to co-operate with partners from  other countries, especially with Indonesia.

These training will not only train and equip the women but also strengthen the existing bilateral co-operation of Fiji and Indonesia through economic empowerment programmes and initiatives.
