Singh Dedicates Double Gold To Parents

A double gold medal winner dedicated the achievement to his parents after the University of the South Pacific graduation ceremony.

Kunal Krishneel Singh was overwhelmed and excited as he received medals for being the most outstanding graduate majoring in Environmental Studies; and the most outstanding Bachelor of Science graduate in the faculty.

He graduated majoring in Environmental Science and expressed his appreciation for the financial and moral support from his parents.

“I initially started university in 2013. I had to take one year off as I was really sick and re-joined school in 2014,”Mr Singh said.

“During these difficult times, my parents were always there for me, supported me in all possible ways and I have achieved this for them.”

The graduate was expecting one gold medal and was surprised when he got the second one.

Mr Singh currently works at USP as a graduate assistant at the Faculty of Science, Technology and Environment.

He is simultaneously doing a Masters in Environmental Science at USP.

His goal is to make a difference in this world and benefit people and also urges students entering USP to be study oriented.

“When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe; only then you will be successful,” Mr Singh said.

“Be hungry for success and once you get that opening, spend the rest of your life to achieve it.

“I always believe in time and I think it is the most powerful asset we have got.”
