Why Our Marriott Is So Special

All guests are expected to be seated at 1.50pm and the official programme will commence at 2pm with a traditional welcome ceremony, followed by Mr Bainimarama’s key note address.

After all the official programme, an evening reception follows.

The resort was developed and is owned by Fiji National Provident Fund.

It is managed by Marriott, the world’s biggest resort and hotel operation.

Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay offers unrivalled lagoon and ocean view with 250 rooms, including 22 exclusive overwater Bure villas, all decorated in a contemporary style incorporating natural materials and strong Fijian motifs.

It is getting international attention.

Travel writer Julietta Jameson, in an article on the Traveller, wrote: Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay is Viti Levu’s first resort with over-the-water accommodation and only the second of its kind for the pacific holiday destination.

The other is Likuliku Lagoon Fiji, also Koro Sun Resort and Rainforest Spa has floating bures.”

Moreover, the $200 million investment resort also has its unique man-made lagoon, a first for Fiji.

The resort set-up creates extensive views of either the pool, lagoon or ocean and includes various dining options, three swimming pools and private white sandy beach.
