Meet Yusuf Sadee, the new Bangladeshi chef in Nadi.

Sitar Indian/Thai restaurant in Martintar has welcomed him and his experience to enhance its authentic dishes in the tourist town.

“I enjoy being part of, as well as managing, motivating, training and developing, a successful and productive team and I thrive in highly pressurised and in a challenging working environment,” said Chef Sadee.

“When I was teenager I cooked for my family. It became a hobby of mine and decided to take it up as professional career.”

He has vast experience in the culinary industry. He worked for Bangladesh Flight Catering Centre (BFCC), at the Dhaka Airport for two years.

Then he joined Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, in Mohakhali, before moving to the United Kingdom where he worked at the Indian Spicy, Thai & Chinese Restaurant in London. There, he was the chef co-ordinator/manager for nine years.

He returned to his birth city and worked at The Westin Dhaka in Gulshan as Sous chef for three years before moving to Fiji.
