Tuitubou Hails BLK Investment

Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitubou praised sportswear clothing company BLK for demonstrating its confidence in the Fijian economy by continuing to invest in the Fijian market.
Mr Tuitubou BLK has been a source of livelihood for 200 Fijians.
“I believe this new outlet means more opportunities for more Fijians. We welcome this as Government and of course, I hope that you are employing many of our young people,” Mr Tuitubou said.
The Minister is glad that BLK is associated with Fijian rugby and is a growing popular sports apparel company now for Fiji and other sevens rugby playing nations.
“I believe that the association of the two brands, BLK and Fiji Rugby will benefit the Fiji economy in the longer term,” he said.
“BLK supplies apparel across the globe and is gaining popularity for its unique design and quality. Fiji is proud to be associated with and to be a country producing this unique brand. I believe that more sporting organisation in Fiji. This will definitely be a win-win for BLK and sports in Fiji.
“Excellent designs and careful selection of fabric for use in sports is very important as sports become more scientific. This contributes effectively to sports performance during physical activity and training.
He added with the increase in the number of BLK outlets Fiji wide, Fijians can choose home grown brand that is of high quality appropriate for their chosen sport and affordable.
BLK Director Commercial and Marketing Liga Gukisuva said,“the timing for opening our retail couldn’t happen soon enough. Nadi is recognized as the hub of our tourism industry. And over the past few years, the Western region, in particular, has been producing some great results in our domestic competitions through the Deans competitions, Coke Games and the FRU rugby tournaments.
“Our new retail contains an array of products, which we believe is unlike any other sports apparel anywhere. In this new retail, we will assist schools clubs SME social clubs and established companies through every aspect of their apparel requirements, literally from concept to wearing our product.”
Meanwhile, BLK has invested $100,000 in setting up the new Nadi outlet.
